After work today I went to an event with my Czech co-worker and through her I met two guys from the Republic of the Congo (French Congo). I was very enhanted to meet them and I was happy that they were quite open to me and that we had some interesting conversations together about Africa. As the two Congolese guys spoke mainly French and Czech (and not much English), and my Czech friend spoke only Czech and English (no French), and and I spoke English and French (but no Czech), you can imagine the kind of multilingual conversations we had with each other!!

at B's

I had a nice evening with my Czech friend, who invited me over for a BBQ dinner!

It was nice spending the evening with my friend, her roommate, and her landlord. They are all Czech like my friend! The food was great and I also really enjoyed the conversations we had. I think we can learn a lot from each other by listening to and sharing with one another, and I'm glad I was in good company for that tonight!

The house was built in 1882, so over a century year old!

Some photos taken on my walk back home this early morning.
I edited them with green-aqua-blue as dominant colours.

Went out last night to Nebe nightclub with my friend Djouma and other European people that I met at a flat party earlier on during the night. I love dancing for the sake of dancing!! It puts me in a great mood. I danced the night away and I am now exhausted. Hope to have a nice peaceful sleep till the afternoon or so.

Petrin view

A photo taken on the Petrin Tower this Saturday, when I climbed up there with Andreas.

Petrin Tower itself is 60 meters but since it is located on a hill, its altitude extends much further. It can be kinda exhausting climbing up there (especially if it's hot) but once you are up there, you can enjoy a really nice view of the city!

red shirt

Here are a few photos of my friend Andreas taken last Friday. He came to visit Prague for the weekend and I had a great time with him. I wanted a common theme to connect the following three photos, so let "red shirt" be it! =P

a cat :)

It was nice having this cat near to where we were eating lunch today! She sometimes came over to get petted, and when she had enough, she'd walk off and rest somewhere close by.

morning rain

Woke up to the sound of the rain...
It's so gloomy out today.

I had an unpleasant dream last night and can still remember it quite vividly. I feel sad replaying it in my mind. It was nothing more than a dream, but it was not too far from the reality.

Czech countryside

Here are some photos taken during stay at Podhradi, a small Czech village near the German borders! I went there with my co-workers for 3.5 days and had a very fun time.

******

It was interesting getting to experience some of the Czech rural life and I am really grateful for the opportunity (especially as a foreigner to the country)! I also very much appreciated the times spent with my co-workers and bonding with them outside of the office environment. The weather was also gorgeous and it was simply amazing seeing so much grass and trees with the blue clear sky above! At night, I saw so many stars sparkling in the nightsky, and I think for the first time in my life, I saw fireflies! =)

This trip made me very happy!

a lovely dawn

Caught the sunrise in the countryside of Czech Republic!
I was very happy to have shared this lovely moment with some of my fun-loving Czech co-workers!!
