The internet situation here is not too ideal, so I don't get to blog as much as I would like! I still have a few more photos I'd like to share, but I must go now.

Yesterday I had a good afternoon with my Chinese friend Alex. He took me to his undergrad school, Beijing Jiaotong University, to take some photography of the colourful autumn leaves, but it turned out that most of the trees were still green. So instead, we mostly just walked around, sat somewhere every now and then, ate some stuff, etc... it was really nice! A sunny and relaxing day! Did not have to rush, did not have to go anywhere in particular...

It was neat to be at a Chinese university campus and to feel that "student atmosphere" again!

Today I met up with Xue, my friend from exchange in France. It was nice! We ate some noodles, then walked under the willow trees, and then sat at a park bench and chatted for a bit. It made me happy to see a familiar face again, and to have someone to share some thoughts with.

This is the 5th country where we see each other!

I had an unpleasant dream last night and can still remember it quite vividly. I feel sad replaying it in my mind. It was nothing more than a dream, but it was not too far from the reality.

Just got home not too long ago. Had a fun night at Cody's watching a ridiculous movie and playing fun games with everyone!

My midnight photo shoots in the fog:

I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit spooked out every time I heard the footsteps of an approaching stranger. Aside from the few passer-bys, the streets were completely empty.

I nearly broke my camera while taking these pictures. My tripod, which had my camera attached to it, tipped over at one point and my camera hit the pavement. I really thought it broke because no matter what I pressed, there was no reaction. I freaked out! But then, when I took it back home, and tried switching it on again, it was miraculously working again (perhaps thanks to the warmth). The edge of the lens is chipped but the camera is still alive! Thank goodness!!! I don't know how devastated I would be if it actually broke!

A warm and sunny day today. Didn't have to bring too much stuff to school so I brought my camera with me. Took this picture of campus while I was sitting under a big oak tree with my classmate, Chaitra. Both just taking a break and eating a pumpkin spice muffin from the Tim Hortons across the street.
