Lake Tahoe, CA
First trip with my fisheye lens!

I had a fun time at Lake Tahoe! The sky was so blue and the lake was so clear. The beach was very colourful with all the multi-coloured towels and sun umbrellas! Everything was just very pleasant to the eyes. I got to watch the sunset and it was beautiful! I sat by the lake with my camera and watched the the sky and the clouds change their colours. It was also fun driving a motor boat on the lake and riding a bike in the forest.
Good weekend!

Patrick: "Yay! Krabby patties!"
Got these mini burgers at a local Asian supermarket nearby my house. They're not actually burgers; they're biscuits with chocolate spread inside. They're probably the size of a penny.
So tiny and cute - perfect for my little pink starfish! Haha!

I'm going to Lake Tahoe for the weekend. I'm very excited because it's a beautiful place so there will be lots of opportunities for good shots. We are going to eat hot pot tomorrow night and I'm going to ride a jet boat! I also got a set of filters that I look forward to try out.
It will be fun! Hope there will be lots of sunshine too.

I spent my afternoon on Youtube watching videos from WongFu Production. Haven't seen their stuff in ages and now they have gotten so professionally good. I was very impressed!

my video
I spent the past two days making a video which I called "Magic Hands". It was lots of fun to make, though very time-consuming, especially when it comes to the editing part! Overall, I am quite satisfied with my work and this is probably my first legit video (and hopefully not my last!). I realized that I really enjoy creating things and turning ideas into reality.
Note: unforunately the video cannot be viewed in all countries due to some copyright issues with my background music.

hilltop tree
Found this old photo that was taken last summer and edited it for fun. Mostly played around with Photo Filter and Selective Colour.
I like making the sky peach coloured cause it makes the tree almost seem magical!
Currently wishing I can take a photo of a gigantic bubble floating in the air.

A friend from childhood contacted me on Facebook and turns out she is going to be in the same city as me! Damn excited about seeing her again... it's been so long, probably 10 years!!

new fisheye lens
My fisheye lens arrived in the mail today!!
(Opteka .35x HD² Super Wide Angle Panoramic Macro Fisheye Lens)
Tested it out on random objects inside and outside my house:
The lens is fun to play around with, particularly cause I like the effect of this kind of spheric distortion. This lens has the ability to take macro and wide angle pictures. I think there is quite a lot I can do with it, but I will need practice to realize its potential.

I finally started reading the Life of Pi. It's quite an enjoyable book and many things in there make me smile and laugh. I particularly enjoyed the narrator's description of the sloth at the beginning. It makes me want to smile at a sloth next time I see one because he made it sound like such an adorable little creature!
Today's visit to the beach made me question why on earth a bunch of seagulls would be afraid of a single human being, who has no other advantage except being naturally bigger in size. If anything, it should be the human who is afraid of the seagulls, for they have sharp beaks and there are SO many of them. Wouldn't the human be running for his live if all the seagulls decided to gang-up on him?
