Pictures of my colourful dinner!

I had pasta with mushrooms, orange peppers, onions, zucchini, tomatoes and tuna. I ate with two of my housemates. They're really sweet!

mini pumpkins

Bought two cute little pumpkins at the grocery store today! I am keeping the smaller one and giving the other one to Simon. I took a picture of them with the puff toy because they are all ovally round and have similar colours lol. I got the toy last week from joining this Asian club on campus... actually, it was more like I joined the club so I can get the toy!

tourist in downtown

Visiting downtown - fisheye style!!

Met up with my friend, Vincent, who I have known since my undergrad years in Kingston. He lives in Vancouver and today he showed me parts of the downtown area and North Vancouver. I had a fun time walking around, chatting with him, and taking pictures like I was a tourist. I really appreciate that he showed me around!

At Granville, one of the main streets downtown. There were so many pigeons walking and flying around.

A pigeon over my head.

Lots of tall buildings.

In North Vancouver - we took a seabus to get there (the seabus looks like a subway on water!)

We wandered in the market in North Van and we stopped by McD's for a late lunch.

Back from North Vancouver and walking near the Waterfront.

A sight with many different elements.

Hugging a big rain drop! (heard it rains a lot here, especially in the winter)

We both tried Japadog for the 1st time. We got the Turkey one and it was pretty good - better than a normal hotdog (but I like normal hotdogs too).

The shopping street.

dandelion

Dandelions:

They never stay in one place for too long. They grow and then they fly away. They put themselves in new environments where they bloom and mature. They seem delicate, and yet they withstand wind and rain.

I think they're beautiful.

Saturday with Sarah

I went out with my friend, Sarah, yesterday. She and I went to the same university for our undergrad and now we are both in Vancouver starting a new life. It was very nice getting to hang-out with an old friend and discovering parts of the city together.

Before I went to meet up with my Sarah, I went to Mrs. Miao's. She invited me over for lunch! ^^

Mrs. Miao prepared a bunch of wonderful dishes. It was very sweet of her and I liked eating all of it!

I met up with Sarah at Stanley Park afterwards. I took a direct bus to get there and it took more than an hour (that's the thing about big cities eh!).

We spent the afternoon walking around the park.
(This bridge makes me think of the Golden Gate Bridge in SF! But it's blue instead of red and I guess it's not as long and wide!)

The view was very nice!

Sometimes when we found a good spot, we sat down and rested for a bit.

There were a couple of small beaches along the way. We went to one of them and sat on one of the logs and we chatted about various things while watching the ocean =)

There were some entertainers here so we sat on the grass and watched them for a bit. It was also a nice spot to take photos so I snapped a few.

The sun was setting and it got colder. We spent the rest of the evening walking around the downtown area.

I came home quite exhausted from all the walking, but I had an enjoyable day!!
