Kaifeng's night market

Went to Henan province this weekend and got to see Kaifeng's famous night market! There were a lot of interesting dishes to eat and little things to buy. I really enjoyed trying out new kinds of food there. I like how the food came in small quantity and were quite cheap in price! I got to eat quite a lot of stuff, and perhaps the best thing I ate was this the salted duck egg sushi...  never had such a thing! It was really good!!

Some kind of fish cooked in some interesting way... didn't try it, but thought these fishes looked quite unhappily dried up... 

Lots of different kinds of meat on a stick. You can eat them BBQed. I love the lamb and chicken wings stick the best!!

Aside from food, there are also little cute things that you can buy. Here are some colourful nightlights... there is even a Hello Kitty one ^_^

A little perfume stall. They mix liquids and then put it on one of those hanging tiny bottles.

Today I met up with Xue, my friend from exchange in France. It was nice! We ate some noodles, then walked under the willow trees, and then sat at a park bench and chatted for a bit. It made me happy to see a familiar face again, and to have someone to share some thoughts with.

This is the 5th country where we see each other!

Je me fais transporter dans ta chambre...

Nous nous allongions là, par terre, ensemble. À côté de l'un l'autre, en faisant face au plafond. Dans le calme de ta chambre, tu t'es tourné vers moi et tu m'as demandé qu'est-ce que je voyais devant moi. Un peu étonnée par la question, je croyais de voir quelque chose d'extraordinaire, mais je  voyais seulement ton plafond blanc et une corde pendante pour tes vêtements mouillés.  Je t'ai répondu ainsi, et de retour, je t'ai posé la même question à laquelle je m'attendais un peu à une autre réponse de ta part.

Au contraire, tu m'as répondu: ''Je vois exactement la même chose que toi.'' 

''Mais,'' t'as continué, ''avant je les ai toujours regardé seul.'' 

Cet après-midi, nous nous sommes couchés là ensemble, en regardant la même chose, avec le même sentiment de bonheur dans notre coeur. Je t'ai aimé comme tu m'as aimé. C'était à nous, ce moment. Notre moment partagé.  

Aujourd'hui, lorsque je m'allongeais sur mon lit en regardant mon plafond, avec la musique qui joue mais mes pensées ailleur...  cette fois, je suis seule, et ce moment d'autrefois est venu à l'esprit.

Déjà plus que deux ans passés, et je me souviens encore. ♥

Nadia blue

Spent a nice day at my co-worker Nadia's house which is situated in a village right outside of Prague. I went there with four of my Czech co-workers and had a really good time there! We spent the day outside relaxing, eating and doing some woodwork. Nadia's favourite colour is blue and there was blue everywhere inside and around her house, thus inspiring me to make this post a blue-themed one!

a pizza lunch

A great pizza meal experience with Sarah at Rocky Mountain Flatbread Company. The pizzas were amazingly delicious and I also really enjoyed the chats we had on a variety of interesting and random topics!

I think it is these kinds of little shared pleasant moments of everyday that I come to really appreciate in life!
